Paul Max Caudill

May 11, 1932February 18, 2021

Paul Max Caudill, age 88, of Milton, GA, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021 with his family by his side. He was born on May 11, 1932 in Rome, Georgia, the son to Paul and Beulah Caudill. After completion of high school, he served our country proudly in the United States Marine Corp.

Paul met his beautiful wife, Myrna, and they were later married on June 1, 1957. This union of many years was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Candy and Stacey. Paul loved to travel, and his favorite trips were to Israel and Germany. His most favorite memories of Germany were visiting his daughter Stacey and son-in-law Kelley who were in the Army in Heidelberg at the time.

Paul was a true scholar and lived life to the fullest. He received his Associate of Arts degree from Lee College in 1954 and then went on to receive his Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Georgia State University in 1965. In 1978, he received his Juris Doctorate degree from Woodrow Wilson College of Law, graduating the same year as his daughter, Candy from High School.

Paul was involved in the community from the John Birch Society to the Rotary Club and beyond. He held a real estate broker’s license. He was also a financial planner and a CPA. He was an active member in several Jewish organizations and The Georgia Society of CPAs of whom he was the oldest member.

Paul enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was an avid golfer. And some of his last words were “I don’t think I will ever be able to play golf again.” His most important relationship was the one he had with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He loved teaching the word of God to others and especially to his daughters and grandchildren. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. His life and influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents, Paul and Beulah Caudill. He is survived by his devoted wife of many years, Myrna Sloan Caudill; his daughters, Candy C. Lusby (husband, Roger W. Lusby, III), Stacey C. Barham (husband, Kelley M. Barham), grandchildren, Lauren L. Fernandez (husband, Daniel Fernandez), Christina L. Silverman (husband, Jon Silverman), his only grandson, Macon Barham (wife Sarah Barham) Morgan N. Barham and Mackenzie S. Barham and his 5 great grandchildren, Noah Fernandez, Linley Barham, Jonathan Silverman, Sadie Barham and Van Silverman.

To Mr. Paul's Family,

My father, George, was a member of his weekly golf crew. How these guys truly loved their outings. Ms. Myrna was after Dad to convince Mr. Paul to retire and join the crew with Wendell, Robert, Jacque, Bob, the two Bills and Ray, forgive me if I missed anyone. Not to mention their lunches afterwards and miles they traveled for the array of courses they played. I'm sure he is teeing up in heaven with the crew that have gone before him. Your husband and father will be truly missed, he was so proud of all his family and spoke often of them. May you find comfort in the friendships he forged and know he was loved by all.
