

Mrs. Padgett was a gentle, kind and caring person with a positive attitude toward life. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was sweet and kind but yet strong when strength was needed. She loved helping people and for many years was a volunteer at the hospital in Clayton, Ga and helped with many of their blood drives. Mrs. Padgett was a member of the Clayton Baptist Church in Clayton, Ga. and prior to that a member of Rainbow Park Baptist Church (previously Kirkwood Baptist). She loved her church and served it faithfully as a teacher, Women’s Auxiliary leader and many other positions. Mrs. Padgett is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Charles Raymond Padgett Sr., daughter, Patricia Ellen Padgett, and son, Charles Raymond Padgett Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn (Robert) Bullard and Linda (Charles Jr) Padgett; grandchildren, Angela (Phil) Peppers, Amy (Scott) Armstrong, and Charles Padgett III; sister, Ruth Knight of Cleveland, Ga, and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 29th from 1:00-2:00 at the Roswell Funeral Home in Roswell, Ga and a Memorial service will be held directly afterwards in the Funeral Home Chapel. There will be no grave-side service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Clayton Baptist Church, 87 S. Church Street, Clayton, GA 30525 or the Hickory Flat Methodist Church, 4056 East Cherokee Drive, Canton, GA 30115.
