I adore Mary & Perry! And yes, I always think of them as a singular unit. 
I met Perry at Roswell Photo Society, where he won numerous awards for his artistry. I met Mary later; she also has an eye for beauty, as can be seen in her own award-winners. Perry and I didn’t become friends until Mary came around. I met them as a loving pair at one of our North Point small groups. You couldn’t miss the hand-holding, the sweet glances, and the tender way they always referred to one another. Eric & I still regard them as close as ever, even after we changed small groups. 
One thing I appreciate about Perry is his faithfulness. We don’t share all the same points of view but that never stopped him from being a good friend and neighbor. He is forever faithful to God, his wife, his friends, and his country. 
The 2nd attribute I enjoy about Perry is his humility. To hear him tell it, humility was not his strong suit earlier in life. He has overcome any such deficit in his later years. He uses his intellect, thoughtfulness, confident voice, and caring personality to do the humblest of things, like sorting bean cans at North Fulton Charities, opening their home as a meeting place, or donating to the people of Malawi to provide clean water where none had existed.
There are innumerable qualities of note about Perry, but I’ll limit it to three, keeping my favorite for last: his sense of humor. Sometimes it’s watching him play a game of giant Jenga. Other times it’s him “fighting” with me over the ownership of “his” chair at the Savan home. But the memory that encompasses and exceeds all others is that twinkle in Perry’s eyes. Combined with his sly smile, one can always assume he's up to the mischief of good-natured teasing. His eyes glisten with joy, revealing his playful spirit again and again.
It's always a pleasure to spend time with Mary & Perry. I thank God for them and their combined reservoir of love, compassion, and godliness. May God richly bless them as they've blessed us.

The Patterson Family and McNeal Family go back many years ago. We have shared precious memories as we gathered around the piano, as Peggy played and we all sang.  We played together, went to church together. We sat anyplace we could find because there were so many of us, to eat the delicious food our mothers cooked and put on the table. Most Sundays were spent in their home.
We were 3 girls so Carlton and Perry were picked out as special by my two sisters. 
To Perry's family,  we share your grief and ask God to grant all of you the perfect peace that only He can give.

Perry was my next door neighbor and friend. He was cheerful, considerate, diligent, and kind. Despite his poor health for the past two years, he was upbeat and friendly. He loved his family and was proud of his children and grandchildren. Parry also loved his wife, Mary, to whom he had been married for about six years. Parry always seemed to be more concerned about my health than his own.  I will certainly miss him a lot. RIP, my friend.


Uncle Perry was my teacher, mentor and inspiration in my formative years.  He exemplified to me what it means and what you can accomplish with a strong work ethic.  He honored the memory of his brother, Carlton, by investing his time, energy, wisdom, knowledge and abilities into his brother's son - that would be me, Wendell McNeal and I will be forever grateful.  Rest well, Uncle Perry.  I am a better man for having known you and having had you in my life.

Perry was such a wonderful, kind, funny and talented man!  I was so sad to hear of his passing this morning.  I always enjoyed our conversations because it was not always business related.  We loved to talk about our travels or photography.  He has always been my favorite property owner to work for and I was happy to know that he thought I did a good job.  He will truly be missed.  Please know that you all will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Perry… Or shall I say Dearest Perry! You are so kind, loving, wise… and not to mention hilarious! Over this past year and a half you have brought so much joy and wisdom into my life. I have enjoyed every moment I’ve spent with you. Your laugh is contagious and your heart is so warm, loving, and eager to bring God’s love into others’ lives. I wish there were more time to get to know you, to hear your life stories, or to share with you what’s going on in my journey! But for now I will hold on to the time I’ve had getting to know you and know that I will see you again when we’re together with our Heavenly Father! You’ve brought so much joy into everyone’s life, and I’m so grateful that I’ve been a small part of that. I know I will always take you with me wherever I go!

I knew Perry when I worked for his doctor.  I loved talking to him about almost anything.  We had the best conversations and I learned a lot.  My deepest sympathies for the family.

I have fond memories of my cousin Perry staying with us in California in the 1960's.   I was just a little kid but I enjoyed his kindness and beautiful personality.  We had only recently reconnected and began getting caught up with family memories of days long past.

I am grieved to hear of Perry’s passing away. He was truly one of my best friends when I lived in Roswell. I have one of his beautiful photographs on my wall. He will be missed!

I will miss knowing that Perry was just down the road .  He and  his family, when we were growing up, were always some of the  cousins we looked forward to being with when summer came and we went to Georgia.   Getting in the car to head to Georgia (or home, as my mother called it)  was one of our happiest times and Perry, Peggy and Theresa were some of the ones Daddy blew the horn at as we passed their house on the road to Grandma's!
