She was an active member of Eastside Baptist Church volunteering in many different roles. She had a way of connecting with people and touched many lives. Her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. The most important thing in Phyllis’s life was her family and her relationship with God. She was a caring and true Christian, always willing to help those in need.

My deepest condolences to the family of Phyllis. She was my first cousin and I loved her so much. She and Bob were always there for me when I needed them. They loved my Mother, Gladys Emma Hawke Wade, sister of Vera, and did anything they could to make her happy. Phyllis and Betty took her on like a Mother after their Mother died. I owe them so much for the help they gave my Mother and me. My prayers for the whole family, especially Debbie and Shaun as they mourn the loss of their beloved Mother.
