Mr. Preston James High, age 31, of Oakwood, Georgia formally of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Longview, Texas, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2020. Preston was born on May 23, 1988 in Longview, Texas a son to Gary Wayne High and Karen Petty McHugh. Preston graduated high school in Stillwater, Oklahoma then eventually made his way to Georgia to be closer to family to pursue his great passion of music. Preston was best known for his musical talent ranging from playing guitar, to writing and producing music. He had recently started his own musical production company called Sound Access Entertainment. Preston was also a very talented artist and loved to paint. If he wasn’t in a studio producing or playing music he could easily be found at his second favorite spot, the beach, in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. Though Preston loved the arts and spending time with friends, his greatest love and joy came from his loving wife, Helen Wang High. The two dated for several years and were married in September 2018. Some of his other favorite things were collecting comic books, especially Batman, and cooking his own special recipes. He was surrounded by family in Georgia and loved visiting his family in Oklahoma and Texas. Preston was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, grandson and friend; he will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Preston is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Troy and Wilma High and maternal grandfather, Phillip Petty. He is survived by his wife, Helen Wang High; daughter, Sara Bailee High; mother and step-father, Karen and Robert McHugh; father and step-mother, Gary and Tiffany High; maternal grandmother, Delores and, step-grandfather, David Morris; maternal step-grandmother, Susan Petty; a brother, Phillip High; step-siblings, Alexandra Forney, David Trizna, Aaron Trizna, Addam Trizna, and Priscilla Trizna; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members and friends also survive.
