Richard "Rich" P. Devine, 65, of Roswell GA passed away peacefully on Sept 6, 2011 surround by the love and support of his family. He served his country in the US Army in Vietnam retiring after 22 years as a Lt. Col. Following his military service; he worked for the State of GA as the manager for the GA Dept of Human Resources. He was passionate golfer and basketball player. He is survived wife of 37 years, Maria; and 2 sons - Michael (Heather Stephens) and Richard (Amber) Devine; 2 sisters - Elizabeth (The Late Chester A.) Devine Williams and Suzanne (John) Distefano; nieces - Elizabeth, Alice and Christine: nephews – Matthew, John, and Robert. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 P.M., Wed., Sept. 7, 2011 at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Rd., Roswell, GA 30076. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M., Thurs., Sept. 8, 2011 at St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church, 11330 Woodstock Rd., Roswell, GA, 30075. Rich will be placed at rest at the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA. He is a wonderful man and will be greatly missed. Roswell Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
