Born on July 13, 1976, in Ridgewood, New Jersey, Robert, affectionately known as Rob, he was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence touched and brightened many lives.
Rob was born to Ronald W. Boyce and Suzanne Jordan and grew up surrounded by a loving family that included his father’s wife, Kathryn Boyce, and his devoted siblings: Jaime Calitri, Jeffrey Boyce, Allison Lloyd, Anna Ryder, and Monica Ortego. Rob’s sense of family extended to his cherished daughter, Jenna Boyce, who was the center of his world and his proudest achievement. Rob also leaves behind a legacy of love in his nephews, Logan, Bennett, Taylor, Hudson, Oliver, and Archie, and his niece, Kennedy, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will dearly miss him.
Rob excelled in both academics and athletics, graduating from Lassiter High School in 1994. His passion for tennis earned him a scholarship to Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama, where he earned his degree in 1999. A proud member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity, he forged lifelong friendships and memories during his college years.
His professional journey was as varied and vibrant as his personality. Rob began his career with the Montgomery Wings, a minor league baseball team, before discovering his love for teaching at San Luis High School in Yuma, Arizona. In 2003, he returned to Georgia and embarked on a successful career in sales with System Connections. His passion for technology and education later led him to Intrado, where he trained public safety professionals on 911 communications software. At the time of his passing, Rob was a valued member of the team at av/tech in Roswell, Georgia.
Rob was a man of many passions. Known for his quick wit and warm smile, he was never far from laughter and could light up any room with his humor. Whether through a perfectly timed joke or one of the many nicknames he lovingly bestowed on family and friends, Rob had a special way of making people feel seen, welcomed, and connected. He was also known for his delightfully corny "dad jokes," which often sparked playful banter with Jenna and became a cherished part of their relationship. An avid tennis player, he was once ranked 13th in the State of Georgia. His love for the sport was only matched by his joy in watching Jenna play tennis, volleyball, and basketball. Fishing was another cherished pastime, providing moments of peace and happiness, especially when shared with Jenna on the waters of Lake Lanier. Rob loved cooking and believed that sharing a meal brought people together, something he deeply valued. Whether on the tennis or pickleball court, out on the lake, or gathered around a table with family and friends, Rob found joy in creating meaningful connections with those he loved.
Rob's life was marked by love, laughter, and kindness. His generous spirit and warm heart endeared him to all who knew him. He had a remarkable ability to connect with people, whether striking up a conversation with a stranger, offering a helping hand, or making someone feel welcome with his humor and laughter. As we gather to celebrate his life, we remember the joy he brought to those around him and the many lives he touched along the way.
A service to honor Rob’s life will be held on June 19, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA 30076. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to No Longer Bound, an organization close to Rob’s heart.
Following the service, there will be a Celebration of Life at Grand Cascades Clubhouse, 199 Rivergate Drive, Suwanee, GA 30024
Rob will forever remain in our hearts, remembered for his warm smile and infectious laughter, his kindness, and the unwavering love, guidance, and encouragement he gave as a devoted father to Jenna. His family shares this message of love and remembrance: “Forever in Our Hearts.”
