Bob hired me into the Seagram family during 1966.  He was a mentor and friend.  He was full of life, energy, and fun.  He could also be quite serious and astute when it came to business.  Contract negotiations were always most interesting when Bob was involved!

I will miss Bob, his friendship, and his sense of humor.

All the best to Alicia and the rest of Bob's family.  You and Bob have my thoughts and prayers.

A true friend for a long time.  Best man at our wedding 56 years ago.  We went from Bowling Green Business University to Louisville to New York to Atlanta. Lots of memories some funny.  I will never forget the spider in Myrtle Beach. Love to Alicia, Carl, Alex and Lucy Mae. Also Love to Helen and Billy.

I first came to know Mr. Cook as a patient in my office. Over the course of 15 years, he quickly become more than that--he became a part of our family. I always looked forward to seeing him, anticipating what new joke he'd have for me. He had the best sense of humor of anyone I've ever met and was one of the most caring people I've had the privilege to know. He will always be remembered for his warmth, his energy, and his smile.

I will greatly miss him, as will my family and our staff. We send our deepest condolences to Alicia, Carl and their children. Mr. Cook was truly one of a kind and we will never forget the joy he brought into our lives.

Bob and I met as freshman in college in a Social Dancing Class. That began a friendship that has lasted almost 60 years. In the early '60s we both moved to Louisville and I lived in the same apartment building with he and Betty.

After they moved to New York we saw them less often but, kept in touch. When Alicia was born, we received a call followed by photographs and soon after a visit to Kentucky. They were anxious for their family and friends to see Alicia. I have never seen more proud parents. She looked just Bob. Alicia was the light of their life until the grandchildren came along.

We were glad when Bob and Betty moved to Atlanta. They came to Kentucky more often and their place was a great place to stay on our way to Florida. You could count on a warm bed, great food and a lively political discussion.

After Bob retired and Betty was still teaching, he and I took several trips together. We were in Ireland when my wife died. Bob and Betty attended the funeral then he stayed with me for two weeks afterward.

Soon after Betty's death, I came to Atlanta and stayed with Bob while Alicia and Carl were out of town. He was feeling better so we got hair cuts, went out to eat, discussed politics and told jokes and stories that we each had heard many many times.
We had a good visit and I am so glad to have that lasting memory.

Bob was a true friend and I miss him.
