Mrs. Johnson was born to the late Margaret McLaughlin Johnson in St. Johns Newfoundland, Canada.
Mrs. Johnson was a very loving individual and a great mother. She raised her three children as a single parent in New York. She worked for Word Processing during the infancy of computer technology in the typing pool. She was a diligent worker and moved up quickly working in management in Lower Manhattan. Her company transitioned to New Jersey where Mrs. Johnson relocated in 2001. She worked as a real estate agent flipping homes and genuinely enjoyed her new career. In addition to her three kids, Mrs. Johnson fostered more than 25 children and was moved to adoption for her fourth child.
Mrs. Johnson naturally had a nurturing spirit and loved children. Other joys in her life included quilting, repurposing furniture, visual art, making jewelry and playing the hand bells.
Mrs. Johnson’s memory will be cherished by her son, Richard “Ricky” Magnum and his wife, Christine “Chris”; daughters, Christine “Chrissie” Wells, Charlene Narciso and her husband, Joe, and Katy Johnson; grandchildren, Hayley, Kaitlyn “KD,” Robert, Alex, Matthew, Samantha, Sophia and Grace; great-grandchildren, Michael and Aria; sister, Patricia Johnson Basci and her husband, Roy; and brother, Gerald Donahue and his wife, Agnes.
