

(Ron) Ronald Francis Scott, 85, of Cumming, GA, formerly of Destin, FL, and Dunwoody, GA, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025. Born on June 22, 1939, in Roanoke, VA. Ron graduated from Roanoke Catholic High School and attended Virginia Military Institute. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Anita Fitzgerald Scott, his son, Ronald Jay Scott, his parents, Robert Bassie Scott and Eleanor Moses Scott, and his brother, Robert Moses Scott.
A devoted husband to the late Anita Fitzgerald Scott, Ron was a pillar of strength and kindness, always placing family first. Ron is survived by his children, Terrie Scott George (Richard), Donald Ray Scott (Montyce), and Jeffrey Allen Scott (Mary), amazing grandaddy to twelve treasured grandchildren and two great-grandsons as well as many special nieces and nephews.
Ron had a love for all sports, but he especially enjoyed golfing, cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, and spending time on the beaches of Destin, FL after his retirement in 2007. He successful career as a business owner and sales executive that earned him widespread respect and generated lifelong relationships. A man of faith, he found strength in his Catholic beliefs, which guided him through life’s journey.
Per Ron's wishes, there will not be a service. Rest in peace, Ron. You were deeply loved and will be forever missed.
