Ron was born April 23, 1936 in Waupun, Wisconsin to Richard and Vivian Gough. He graduated from University of Colorado in 1958, where he played in the band. He married Nancy Lee Forrest in Boulder Colorado in 1958. Ron’s career included working for Armour Dial, WigWam Socks, Wells Lamont and Kayser Roth. He was an active member of the National Model Railroad Association, Piedmont Division. He was a Master Builder, taught classes on building models from scratch, and won numerous awards for his models. Ron enjoyed travelling, flying kites, reading and big band music and stock trading.
Ron is survived by his son and daughter. His son, David Gough and his wife Melinda May of Chicago, IL.: three grandchildren, Alex, Maddie and Nikkie. His daughter Laura A. Nardone and husband, Steve Nardone of Peachtree City, GA.: two grandchildren, Katie and Nancy. He was preceded in death by this wife, Nancy Lee (Forrest) Gough in 2001.
