Ronald was born on May 27, 1945 in Oakland, California, to Ralph and Betty Hieber.
Ronald was raised in Atlanta, Georgia where he was a proud graduate of North Fulton High School. He later attended Belhaven University. Following his calling in ministry, he attended Columbia Seminary in Decatur, Georgia and the Reformed Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi.
Ronald fell for the most amazing woman, Frances Garraux, and they have been happily married for 40 years. They were blessed to have and nurture two loving children: Tyler Wade and Wesley Truett. The love they shared created memories that will be remembered and cherished forever.
He was a very kind, generous, and tender soul. A man of God whose ministry touched many for over 50 years. Ronald began his ministry in Miami, Florida at Palmetto Presbyterian Church. He also served at Coral Ridge in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Ronald later returned to Atlanta, where became a member of the Atlanta Presbytery. He served nine churches in the metro Atlanta area. He was also a part of the Interim Ministry.
Ronald was an avid Georgia Tech football fan. He also loved golfing and going on camping trips. His family and friends will forever remember him for his caring and loving spirit. He was such a joy to be around.
Ronald was an outstanding husband, father, and friend. His life and the love he shared will always be cherished by all that had the honor to know him.
Ronald Charles Hieber is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Daniel and Betty Miriam Hieber.
He is survived by his loving wife, Frances; sons: Tyler Hieber and Wesley Hieber (Iris Staykov); brothers: Denny Hieber, Larry Hieber and Tim Hieber; sister, Kathy Smith Hieber and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A Private Graveside service to celebrate Rev. Ronald Hieber’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2021 at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
