Ronald Harris Love, affectionately known as Ronnie, left this world for Heaven on November 26, 2025 after a courageously fought battle with cancer. He leaves behind a legacy of steadfast love, patience, and faithfulness to his precious wife, Linda, and his entire family.
Ronnie was a beloved husband, father, Pa Pa, and friend. He was known for his dedication to Jesus Christ, his love for his family, and the kindness, patience, and contentment that he displayed in every aspect of his life. He had a deep passion and talent for singing gospel music. He sang bass in many quartet singing groups throughout his lifetime, often being featured at various churches and other venues. He regularly sang solos and was a member of the Harmony Grove Baptist Church Choir. His love of music brought him great joy and was a very big part of who he was. He also had a sense of humor that brought laughter and joy to anyone who happened to be around when he thought of a funny joke, was reading the “Sunday Funnies,” or came across a funny video. His grandchildren loved his signature “vibrating hugs” that always elicited the happiest giggles.
Ronnie and Linda were married on April 17, 1965 and spent over 60 happy years together, welcoming 2 children, 8 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren (with another on the way). A graduate of Georgia State University, Ronnie had a successful banking career, served in the Army Reserves, and worked diligently for the good of his family and church. He touched the lives of his family and countless others through his love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Linda Love; his daughter, Ronda Davenport, and her husband, Chuck; his son, Michael Love; and his grandchildren: Chad Davenport and his wife, Diana; Anna Spoon and her husband, Jacob; Jonah Love; Zachary Davenport and his wife, Abigail; Madeline Love; Morgan Love; Joshua Davenport; and Jacob Davenport. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren: Daniel Spoon, Titus Spoon, Fox Love, Zeke Davenport, and Judah Davenport; his brother, Dennis Love, and his wife, Chris; his brother-in-law, Jerry Whitfield and his wife, Janet; as well as other beloved family members. He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Frances Parks Love and his father, Tharon Campbell Love.
A funeral will be held on December 5th at 1:00 PM at Roswell Funeral Home to celebrate Ronnie's life and honor his legacy. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM and there will be a reception with light refreshments following the burial. All are welcome!
Ronnie's death leaves a deep void in our hearts, but we are encouraged and grateful that we will get to be with him again one day in Heaven. Jesus’ saving grace in his life changed him from the inside out many years ago. Praise God for the hope we have in Jesus!
