Rory was a man with a kind and gentle heart. I have such wonderful memories of him during my days in Roswell. There were so many times we shared a meal and holiday where he was surrounded by women and could barely get a word in. He was always the gentleman and never failed to add humor to all conversations. Rory was a generous friend, who gave of himself. I send my love to Lucille with recognition of the tremendous loss she is now going through.

It was my privilege to work with Rory from when I started at Sabre/Federated/Macy's in 1993 until his retirement in 2014. He was the pilot of both a sharp mind and a big heart. My best memory of him was in the most recent years when we were on the Diversity Council together. Even then he was working hard to make himself a better person. I will miss him very much.

Uncles have a special role. Not being our father, they can be a friend and a supporter in a different way than anyone else in our lives. They are both a relative and a companion; one of the few people able to be both. The loss of an uncle is a particularly hard one. Their loss, however, is filled with the years of happy memories we had, and that special connection that belongs only to uncles.

You touched me in many ways ,you will truly be missed Uncle Rory.
