Rosa B Miller

She was born Rosa Ward in Texas and lived in several states over her life. Moving from Texas at an early age to Oklahoma, and then relocating to Indiana where she met Don Miller, the love of her life in high school. When Don first saw Rosa he turned to his best friend and told him “I’m going to marry that girl”. They were married in 1947 and lived in Huntington, IN before moving to Michigan. Over the next several years Rosa and her family lived in Ohio, back to Michigan, Illinois, and Wisconsin finally moving to the home of her dreams in Roswell, GA, where she lived since 1981.

Don passed away in 2009 and Rosa found an inner strength to continue on and manage the household by herself with the loving help of her daughter Deb and son-in-law Don Warren. She is survived by her four children Vicki Johnson (Maryville, TN) Rich Miller (Troy, MI) Deb Warren (Blue Ridge, GA) and Julie Sulzbach (Round Rock, TX). She is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Another surviving member of her life is her cat Butter who slept at her side in her last few days.

Rosa and Don were long time members of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and Rosa enjoyed the fellowship of the weekly bible study group and her many friends in the widows group. Rosa was an avid gardener who had an enduring love for her landscape garden and flowers. She had an extensive collection of indoor plants which made her screened in porch feel like a greenhouse during the summer months. She would sit on the porch for hours reading and listening to the hundreds of birds that sang to her every day. Rosa loved baseball and watched the Atlanta Braves on TV every chance she could.

Rosa worked as a department manager at Sears in the Cumberland Mall in Atlanta, GA until she retired.

Viewing will be held at the Roswell Funeral Home 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA from 10 to 12 on Friday, April 22, 2016. Memorial service will be held at Ebenezer United Methodist Church 12900 Arnold Mill Road, Roswell, GA from 2:00 to 3:00 on Friday April 21, 2016 with reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
