

Rose Mascia Mattia, age 107, of Roswell, GA, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2014. The daughter of Pietro and Cristina Mascia, she was born in Chicago and lived in both Italy and Illinois before moving to Roswell. She is predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Michael Mattia, and grandson Peter Vinson. She is survived by her daughters, Marion Vinson of Dunwoody and Roselyn Pritchard of Roswell and son Michael Mattia (Donna) of Maple Grove, MN; grandchildren Kathleen Racicot (Jacques) of Montreal, Canada, Lisa Mayfield (David) of Macon, GA, Deborah Strege (Jake) of Fergus Falls, MN, Sandra Donnenwerth (Jeff) of Roswell, GA and Cynthia Mattia of Maple Grove, MN; great-grandchildren Patrick Stilson, Benjamin Racicot, Christina, Andrew, Caroline and Sarah Grace Mayfield, Isabelle and Abigail Strege, Miles and Emma Donnenwerth, and Brandi Mattia. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, 10:30 AM at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Roswell, of which she was a founding member. Father Daniel J. Fleming, celebrant. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park, Sandy Springs. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the St. Andrew Capital Campaign, 675 Riverside Road, Roswell, GA 30075.
