Mrs. Rosemary Louise Grobe (Mom, Grandma, Nana, Aunt Ro), 75 years young, of Roswell, Georgia, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2020. She was born on February 27, 1945 in Keyport, New Jersey to Frank and Anne Niblett.
Rosemary is survived by her brother Francis Niblett; two daughters and their husbands Rhonda and Terry Moss, Alysia and Matt Haywood; grandchildren Richelle Moss, Dale Moss, Meredith Haywood, Jonah Haywood; plus three great grandchildren Alex Jackson, Wyatt Jackson, and Mason Desilet and her many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Richard Allen Grobe; her mother and father Anne and Frank Niblett.
Rosemary married the love of her life, Richard, in November 1975. Their marriage was blessed with two daughters, Rhonda and Alysia. They shared many adventures and created memories together, until Richard was taken too soon in 1987. She then committed every fiber of her being into her new role of single mom and raised her two daughters.
Rosemary lived life to the fullest. She loved to travel, enjoyed good food with friends, never met a stranger and loved conversation. She loved God and attended church each week; frequently more than once a week. She had a gift for connecting with people, she would talk with anyone about anything, she hugged you the first time she met you, she never showed up empty handed, and her laugh was unique (like Kitty Forman on That 70’s Show…yes YouTube it).
In her younger years she was the President member of the Garden Club in Fairhaven, New Jersey. She was passionate about being a real estate agent for over 30 years. She also enjoyed working as a tele-sales rep for MCI followed by Comcast for 15 years until 2018. She remained great friends with many of her real estate clients, and both MCI and Comcast co-workers. As she shared with us many times, they all called her “Ms. Rosemary”.
Rosemary was also was a dance mom for many years when Alysia was growing up. She loved watching her dance, and then her granddaughter dance in as many performances as she could attend. The joy this brought her was evidenced throughout conversations and stories she relayed to virtually everyone she met and definitely everyone she loved. Her absolute favorite every year was Roswell Dance Theater’s performance of The Nutcracker.
She loved her children fiercely and even more so her grandchildren (if you can believe it). She was a devoted wife, single mother for many years, a protective grandmother and amazing friend. Her beautiful life and influence will fondly be remembered in the lives of those who knew her.
