Mrs. Sanda Tamas, age 45, of Gainesville, Georgia passed away Sunday, May 31, 2026. Sanda was born on March 22, 1981 in Cluj, Romania, the daughter of Jacob and Susanna Tamas. She had a large family with nine brothers and sisters, Jacob, Ancuta, Sam, Corina, Daniel, Elizabeth, Joshua, Abigail, and Andrei. She was the oldest and always looked out for her siblings and loved them dearly.
Sanda was married to Greg Rodgers Jr, and they were blessed with their daughter Eva Sophia Rodgers. Sanda was a loving and proud mother to Eva, and she loved watching her grow. Sanda was an inspiration and loving companion to Greg. To him she was always the most amazing person in any room. She had a heart for animals and always wanted to help them. So much so She convinced Eric, her very close friend, to help take care of an abandoned puppy, while in the middle of cancer treatment. She loved nature and enjoyed all things that grow. She enjoyed the beach and the rhythm of the waves.
Sanda had a heart for Jesus and she was always interested in learning more. She shared her faith and inspired others while fighting through her illness and the treatments. She was strong and never gave up her faith even while going through the pain of cancer.
Sanda was an amazing cook and put love into everything. Sanda's meatball soup was an art that she put hours into perfecting.
Anyone who had the privilege always was impressed. Sanda loved her friends and family and never missed a birthday or a special event, and somehow found a way to make every gift special.
Sanda was a warm light that made people feel at home. She allowed people to be themselves and she was always there to brighten the day. She will be missed by all who had the honor to be in her presence.
