Sandra Elaine Foster

Elaine (Sandra) Sexton Foster (formerly Wofford) passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025 at the age of 79. She was a beloved mother, wife, and grandmother, known for her quick wit, vibrant personality, and love of adventure.

Born on July 9, 1946, in Gainesville, Georgia, Elaine was a proud graduate of Georgia State University, earning her degree in 1993. She tirelessly pursued her education, taking classes at night while working full time. Throughout her varied career, Elaine held positions at the Pentagon, local colleges, IBM, AT&T, and Equifax. She retired in 2019 from her role as a Systems Engineer, marking the culmination of a lifetime of hard work and dedication.

Beyond her professional life, Elaine was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother who deeply cherished her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Bret Foster; her daughter, Stefanie Brooks; her stepsons, Patrick Foster and Joshua Foster; and her beloved grandchildren, Megan Brooks and Cole Brooks. She is also survived by her siblings; Christa Shumake, Cleveland Sexton and Nedra Riddle. She was preceded in death by her son, Craig Wofford; her parents, Laura and Lane Sexton; and her brother, Aubrey Sexton.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening at her home. Friends and family who wish to attend may contact the family for details. A second visitation will take place at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA 30076, on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Elaine’s memory to the Craig Wofford Memorial Scholarship Fund at Berry College.
