Sandra (Sandy) Reger (Schuelke) went to spend eternity with her Savior on Saturday, December 27, 2025. Words cannot fully capture how deeply she touched many lives by faithfully living out her Savior’s commands. Her demeanor and actions in life were evidence that Christ’s burden is easy and His yoke is light!
Sandy was born on March 4, 1946, in Milbank, South Dakota, to Donald and Eleanor (Stoick) Schuelke. In elementary school, she attended a one-room schoolhouse and worked alongside her siblings on the family farm. She later graduated from Dawson High School in 1964. Her second birth happened in 1973 shortly after she heard the Lord speak directly to her, and she devoted her life to God’s work and serving others. She was so enamored with the love of Jesus that she wrote a letter to each of her twelve siblings sharing her experience and pleading with them to search and find Jesus.
On August 21, 1965, Sandy married her love, John Charles Reger. She faithfully walked alongside John for over 60 years with love and partnership. John and Sandy’s early years were spent in Minneapolis and Bloomington, Minnesota, before settling in Chanhassen, Minnesota, in 1973, where they made their home for nearly 50 years and raised their two daughters, Jackie Anne and Stacey Marie. After Sandy was born again, John joined her walk with Christ, and they raised their daughters to know Him, too.
In 1969, John opened their Design Center business, and Sandy soon joined him. She approached her work as an extension of her ministry, serving others with kindness and integrity. In 2005, John and Sandy sold their business and became “snowbirds,” spending winters in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida, and summers in Chanhassen. In March 2024, they moved to Roswell, Georgia, to be closer to family.
Sandy’s life was a testimony of unwavering Christian faith. She loved the Lord with her whole heart and believed deeply in the power of prayer. She was actively involved in her church communities throughout her life and found great joy in worship, fellowship, prayer, and serving. When she moved to Roswell, she went to two churches on Sundays, World Harvest Church and Northside Church. She was unashamed of her faith, and she wanted everyone to know of Christ’s great love for them! Sandy didn’t hesitate to speak about Jesus, trusting the Holy Spirit to work through her words and actions. We should all learn to be more like her in this way.
A story that reflects Sandy’s evangelistic faith occurred during a recent phone call with an insurance lady, Haley. Sandy asked Haley if she was a Christian, to which she replied “no,” and Haley told Sandy that she was a witch. Sandy responded by sharing how she asked Jesus into her heart at 29 years old and her whole life changed so much. She asked if she could pray for Haley on the phone, Haley responded yes, and Sandy prayed that God would open her eyes to see who He was and how much He loved her. After sharing this story with her granddaughter, Shelby, Sandy told Shelby that she was going to start asking the Lord for more boldness!
Sandy’s greatest joy was her very large family, and she prayed faithfully for all of them throughout her life. She is survived by her husband, John, two daughters, Jackie (Bruce) Foss and Stacey (Mike) Stock; seven grandchildren, Jacob, Katie, and Samuel Foss, and Shelby (Sam Keim), Sawyer, Colby, and Clayton Stock, whom she loved deeply and prayed for daily; siblings Jeanette (Tom) Dooley, Jerome (LaVonne) Schuelke, Mary (Bob) Kvam, DeAnne (Ron) Loven, Donnie Schuelke, Larry (Ginny) Schuelke, LeRoy (Karen) Schuelke, Joseph (Donna) Schuelke, Joan (Tom) Zaiser, Jim (Carol) Schuelke, and Jacque (Craig) Leis. She is also survived by dozens of nieces and nephews, each dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Rose (Rollie) Wold, who welcomed her into heaven.
Sandy will be remembered for her assurance of faith, her unconditional love, and a life devoted to serving others and her Lord. Though she will be profoundly missed, those who were touched by her presence can find comfort in knowing she is home, rejoicing in the presence of Jesus, having heard His words: “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
A Celebration of Life will take place at Northside Church (11125 Houze Rd Roswell, GA) at 2pm on Friday, January 2nd, 2026.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Sandy’s churches, Northside Church and World Harvest Church, her favorite television broadcast, Trinity Broadcast Network, or her favorite Christian speaker, (who she has listened to for 50 years!) Andrew Wommack.
