Sean was an amazing, wonderful son, grandson, nephew and friend. He will be so missed by all who knew him and loved him.
In his early years, Sean had great aspirations to devote his life to helping children who had behavioral and mental disabilities. After he graduated from high school, Sean attended Pennsylvania State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. He then began living out his passion and dream as a Children’s Behavior Analyst for the Marcus Autism Center, a division of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Most recently, Sean was completing his Master’s degree in Educational Psychology at Georgia State University and working as a Behavioral Analyst at the Village Autism Center. His “heart of gold” and desire to serve, gave Sean the ability to make an incredible impact on the lives of numerous children and their parents. He was even able to incorporate his musical talents with his psychology work to develop programs for children with autism and other behavioral disabilities.
In his free time, Sean enjoyed loving life with family and friends, creating original music, and exploring new places.
Sean is preceded in death by his mother, Linda D. McCarthy; his paternal grandparents, John and Denise McCarthy; and his uncle John McCarthy Jr.
Sean is survived by his father, Kevin F. McCarthy of Woodstock, Georgia; his maternal grandparents, Carl and Alice White; his aunts and uncles, Denise McCarthy, Lee and Tatiana White, Mark and Julia White; his girlfriend Daisy Jane Trimor; and several cousins, extended family and friends.
