Shirley Bartenfeld Harry, age 84, of Roswell, died on July 5. She was a teacher and counselor at Roswell High School for 26 years and was loved by many of her students and colleagues. She was married for 53 years to Wilson M. Harry (deceased). They shared a passion for gardening and were founding members of the Azalea Chapter of the National Rhododendron Society. Shirley is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Gail and Phillip Michaels and Leila and Robert Lazenby; two grandchildren, Meg and Zachary Michaels; two great-grandchildren; brothers Gus, Charles, Turner and Jerry Bartenfeld and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on July 8 at Roswell Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 10:00 am on July 9 at Roswell Funeral Home. She loved flowers, but if you wish to honor her memory in another way, donations to the Atlanta Zoo would be appreciated.
