Spiros P. Kuluberis

Spiross P. Kuluberis, 81, of Elberton, GA, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2020. He was born on May 13, 1938, in Pygos Messenia Lefktrou, Greece, and the son to Panayiotis and Evedokia Kouloumberis.

It is with great sadness, sorrow, and heart ache we express that we have lost the patriarch of our family, our father, Spiros Kuluberis. Our ROCK, our foundation, our family and friend is now amongst the angels in Heaven. Anyone who knew Spiros knew he loved life and lived his life to the fullest. He spent the last two decades on his farm tending to his many animals and being at one with nature and God. Before this, he wore many other hats, he was a merchant marine, hair stylist, entrepreneur, farmer, mechanic, veterinarian, butcher, chef, and sometimes even personal therapist. During his lifetime he had accomplished so much with little formal education. He not only could read and write in two languages; he had traveled the world several times, he spoke multiple languages and ran a successful business for over 40 years. Spiros was a humble man but also tough as hell and a loner, yet he had a world of friends and a love for all of God’s creatures. He LOVED being Papou (and great Papou), Dad, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, friend, and confidant. Spiros was known for being stubborn, tough, hardheaded, and sometimes all too often brutally honest. Yet he was also known for being one of the most genuine, kind, giving and loving men you would ever meet. He would never disappoint with one of his stories (no one knows if they were true or not!) always told with a twinkle in his eye, a smirk on his face, and his quick wit and humor. His memory and legacy will continue to live on in the lives of all he knew and loved. If you had the honor of being called his Friend or Family, know that you were loved by one of the best! May his memory be eternal. We will miss you Dad!

Spiros legacy continues in the lives of his children: Evelyn Kemp (Chris), Sandy Riley, Peter Kuluberis, his Grandchildren, Stephen (Morgan), Nicholas, Faith, and Maria, his Great grandchild, Axl, his sister and brothers, Peligia Grammenos, Sotiris Kouloumberis, Kyriakos Kouloumberis, many cousins, and last but not least, his many nieces and nephews whom he loved as his own.
