

He was born in Poland to Maria and Joseph Kierkla and emigrated to the United States at age 13. After graduating college, he began his career in the Accounting Department of United Parcel Service in Hartford Connecticut in 1968. His career of 35 years brought the family to Orlando, Florida and New Fairfield, Connecticut before settling in Roswell and later Alpharetta, Georgia.
A devoted Husband, Father, and Grandfather, he will be deeply missed by all those who loved him; especially his wife, Ann, son Mark and wife Beth, daughter Christine and husband Bobby, daughter AnneMarie and husband Brian, and grandchildren Ryan, Jack, Lily, Emma, Tommy, Alex and Joey. His departure leaves a void in our hearts, but his legacy will forever be cherished.
A funeral wake will be held at Roswell Funeral Home (950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA 30076) on Sunday, January 5th from 4:00pm-7:00pm, followed by a funeral Mass on Monday, January 6th at 10:00am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (535 Rucker Road, Alpharetta, GA 30004).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
