Born on January 26, 1953, in Mobile, Alabama, Stephen was the son of the late James and Alma Larche. He built a successful career as a contractor in the construction industry.
Stephen had a vibrant personality and never met a stranger. Jovial, outgoing, and genuine, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends and had a gift for making those around him feel welcome. One of his favorite places was Santa Rosa Beach, where he found peace and happiness by the water.
A devoted music enthusiast, Stephen enjoyed collecting vinyl records and loved listening to them on his turntable. Music was one of life's simple pleasures that brought him great joy.
He is survived by his brother, Jim Larche; his sister, Pam Dean and her husband, Clay; his nephews, Matthew Dean and his wife, Lydia, and Trent Dean; two great-nephews; and his former wife and cherished friend, Carol Larche. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss his warm spirit and infectious smile.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
