Teresa Ann Patton

On Monday, August 28, 2023, Teresa "Terrie" Ann Patton passed away after courageously battling Alzheimer's disease for five years. Terrie was born on January 16, 1941, in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, to her late parents, Andrew and Catherine Robyak.

In 1962, Terrie married Lawrence Patton and made her home in the Washington, DC area, residing in Nokesville, Virginia, for more than three decades. She was an enthusiastic volunteer at local schools and served as a dedicated 4-H Leader. Following her initial career of raising a family, she embarked on a new path in 1981 when she joined CONTEL (GTE). During her career, she took on the role of a Union Representative for the CWA and demonstrated her unwavering commitment by participating in the CWA Strike of 1983 for a remarkable 20 days. In 2001, Terrie fulfilled her lifelong dream of traveling, eventually settling in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Southport, NC, and finally Canton/Roswell, GA. Throughout her time in each location, she remained an ardent community activist and volunteered for numerous political campaigns and local organizations dedicated to promoting equal rights.

However, Terrie's most cherished work was her devotion to her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Lawrence Patton; her son, Patrick, and his wife Ann (Huffman), along with their children, Jack and his wife Sonya, and daughter Amy and her partner Seth; her son Michael, and his wife Ann (Emich), and their son Reyn; her daughter, Liz (Rains), her husband Randy, and their children, Anna, Andrew, and Mary, and Brittany, and her husband Robert and their children, Hudson, Rhett and Scout; her son Matthew and his daughters, Maddie and Sydney. Terrie is also remembered by her brother, Joseph Robyak, and his children, David, Andrea, and Stephanie.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Hospice Foundation of America in Terrie's memory.

A private celebration of Terrie's life will be held by the family.
