Tommy was born on December 3, 1985, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Thomas and Andrea Cottone. From an early age, he was known for his caring nature and deep devotion to the people he loved.
Above all else, Tommy was a devoted husband and a nurturing father who took great pride in caring for his family. He was the kind of father who made sure everyone was taken care of before thinking of himself. One of his wife Megan’s favorite traditions was Saturday mornings, when Tommy would let her sleep in while he got up with the kids, making breakfast and starting the day with them. Those small acts of love were a reflection of the kind of man he was—selfless, attentive, and completely devoted to his family.
A true family man through and through, Tommy not only cared deeply for his wife and children but also for his parents, siblings, and extended family. He was the one who checked in, made sure everyone was okay, and showed up whenever he was needed. Time spent fishing with his brother and brothers-in-law were some of the moments he cherished most.
Tommy is survived by his beloved wife, Megan; his children, Adrian, Tommy, Charlotte, Avery, Lucas, and he was preceded in death by his cherished angel baby JoEllen; his parents, Thomas and Andrea Cottone; and his siblings, Andrea, JoEllen, Thomasina, and Charles.
He also leaves behind his father and mother-in-law, Tom and Brenda Collins; brothers-in-law Gregg Morgan, Neal Currin, Rob Waldera, Taylor Wishon, and Jon Nielsen; sisters-in-law Tara Cottone and Chelsea Wishon; and his beloved nieces and nephews, Bella, Thomas, Sophia, Julia, Olivia, Stella, Sabina, Rob, Hunter, Mary, Charles, Lilah, and Liam.
Tommy is further survived by his aunts, Sabina Grossman, Cindy Cottone, and Mildred Jordan; his uncles, Danny Grossman and Glenn Caldarone; as well as his former wife and mother to his 2 older children, Tara Maltese and a host of loving cousins and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the home of his sister, JoEllen and her husband, Gregg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made through GoFundMe or Venmo to support Tommy’s wife and children, https://givetaxfree.org/campaigns/supporting-the-family-of-tommy-cottone/
Tommy will be remembered for his generous heart, his unwavering devotion to his family, and the quiet ways he made life better for those around him. His love and presence will be deeply missed but forever carried in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
