Thomas Edward Dupree

Thomas Edward Dupree, age 93, of Roswell, GA passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 15, 2023.
Ed, as his family and friends knew him, was born on January 31, 1929 and grew up in Shorter, Alabama. Ed attended Auburn University where he graduated with a degree in Education. Shortly after graduation, Ed joined the US Air Force and taught pilots air-safety. After serving, he and his wife, Hilda, moved to Seattle, where he took a job at Boeing. After a few years and with a desire to move to the south east, they settled in Sandy Springs, Georgia and started their family. Ed had a successful career at Lockheed Martin until retirement. Those who knew Ed, knew his love for Braves baseball, Auburn football, and his love for golf.
Ed is preceded in death by his late wife, Hilda Gardener Dupree; sister, Cornelia Dupree Segrest; and his three children: Thomas Edward Dupree, Debbie Dupree Smith, and Janet Dupree Ladwig.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Dupree; four grandchildren: Tate (Abby) Smith, Melissa (Davis) Ureda, Karli (Kyle) DeJohn and Peyton Smith; and his three great-grandchildren: Everett Dupree Smith, Levi Clayton Smith and Camryn Laine Ureda; as well as many extended family members and friends.
A private family graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 22.
