Thomas Eugene Pohlmeier, age 84, quietly passed away on May 15, 2019 in Alpharetta, Georgia. Tom was born on a farm in Lawrence, Nebraska to Albert and Lenora Pohlmeier on September 23, 1934. Growing up as one of nine siblings, he enjoyed playing sports and riding his horse Peanut all while working on the family farm.
In 1957, he married Rosemary (Mylan) Pohlmeier and together they had two children, Irene Frances and Mark Alan. He served his country as an Air Force aircraft engine mechanic during the Korean War. He went on to work in casinos in Reno Nevada, and after retiring in 1984, he opened and ran a shipping company in Duluth, Georgia.
