Thomas was born to his beloved mother, the late Elizabeth “Betty” Happaney Powers, and the late Thomas Edward Powers, Sr., on February 10, 1937. He lived in New York all his life before moving to Alpharetta.
Thomas is preceded in death by his sister.
His memory will be cherished by his loving wife, daughter, son, granddaughters, great-grandson, brothers, and many extended family members and friends.
Thomas’ love of family defined and motivated him. He was determined to complete his education while working full time six days a week and attending school in the evenings. He was extremely proud at the completion of his studies to be selected as Valedictorian at the commencement ceremony.
The Powers family will receive friends and family at a memorial celebration of life Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Roswell Funeral Home.
