Together with her husband, Sang, she moved to the United States after the Vietnam War to escape the political climate in hopes to pursue the American dream. After spending some time in Panama City, FL, Charleston, SC, West Palm Beach, FL, and finally locating to Atlanta, GA, they achieved this dream through their entrepreneurship and strong people skills by running a successful dry cleaning business that served loyal customers for over 20 years. Tuyet was a skilled tailor, which was the backbone to their business.
Tuyet enjoyed taking care of her family. Mother to three children, Tri, Olivia, and Jane, she showed her love by cooking everyone’s favorite meals and making sure that all family and friends had a hot meal and a warm place to sleep. She often “adopted” the friends of her children, who considered Tuyet as a second mom.
Tuyet adored having family and friends around. She was a devoted wife, nurturing mother, and doting grandmother. A loyal friend, she considered all of her friends as extended family. Her thoughtful ways of showing her love will always be remembered by those who knew her. She was a caring person with a genuine spirit, who will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband, Sang Le; son, Tri Nguyen; daughters, Olivia Jacobson and Jane Morrissey; four grandchildren, Emma Nguyen, Gabrielle Nguyen, Alyssa Jacobson, and Jacob Morrissey; Mom, Shirley Booker; siblings, Ken Booker, Rhonda Kim, and Toni Codd; and a host of relatives and friends.
