Valerie McNamara

Born in Flushing, NY, Val was raised in Rye, NY where she attended the Academy of the Resurrection. She enjoyed captaining the cheerleading team and later attended the Berkley School of Business and upon graduation began a 10 year career with IBM. She met and married her husband Dave after they met in IBM. After staying home to raise young children she continued her career at Berkshire Hathaway, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and most recently at Jackson Healthcare.

Val became an avid tennis player after moving to Roswell, but her real love was raising and enjoying her family especially her young grandchildren, Peyton and Camden Reed.

Val was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ethel Peterson of Rye, NY.. Her survivors are husband Dave, daughter Kacie Reed (Brady) and son Pierce and his fiancée Ashton Harrington; grandchildren Peyton and Camden Reed; brothers John (Sally) and Mark Peterson; nieces Molly Gjodesen, Erin Staples and nephews Tyler and Ryan Peterson.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 15th at 11:00am at St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church, 11330 Woodstock Rd Roswell, Ga..
