In 1944, Viola graduated from University High School (UNI) in Oakland, California. She began a career with the United States Government in 1949 at Letterman Army Medical Center as a supply clerk in the logistic division where she remained until retirement in 1994.
Viola is survived by her son; Philip B. McKinnely, SR (Ramona), daughter; Frances McKinnely, step-son; Reginald McKinnely, SR (Pat), step-daughter; Carla Davis (Berry), grandchildren; Philip B. McKinnely, JR, Chaulisa Glass, Reginald McKinnely, JR, Chanel Davis and Rory Edwards, Great grandchildren; Gabrielle Lacy and Lauryn Jones.
The family will receive visitors from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., The Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 P.M. at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, Georgia 30076. Pastor Lee Allen Jenkins will be officiating. A Graveside Service will immediately follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
