Virginia Rhea Usery

Funeral service for Mrs. Virginia Rhea Dibrell Usery, 62, of Johns Creek, Georgia will be at 5PM Tuesday at the Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church located at 2850 Old Alabama Rd, Johns Creek, GA 30022. Visitation is from 6 to 8 o’clock, Monday evening at the Roswell Funeral Home at 950 Mansell Road in Roswell, Georgia.

Reverend Mike Roper will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Roswell.

A Nashville, Tennessee native, a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin, and a teacher in Tennessee and at the Mount Pisgah Preschool, she died on May 22, 2014 at Embracing Hospice in Cumming, Georgia following an 11-month battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was married to the late Jerry Usery of Johns Creek; was the mother of the late Jason Usery of Johns Creek; was the daughter of the late Charlie and Mary Clay Leiper Dibrell of Nashville; and the granddaughter of the late S.S. and Viola Dibrell of Sparta, Tennessee, and Dr. James and Virginia Leiper of McMinnville, Tennessee.

Surviving are son - Jeremy Usery and his wife – Jennifer – of Suwanee, Georgia; granddaughters – Payton and Stella Usery of Suwanee; and brother – Charles Clay Dibrell, Sr. and his wife – Cathy – of Franklin, Tennessee.
