William Bernard Kimes

He graduated from Sumter High School and went on to earn a degree from DeVry University, paving the way for a successful career as an electrical contractor. Known for his exceptional skills and honesty, William earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.

Family was at the heart of William's world. As a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend, he took immense joy in the company of his loved ones. William leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, having cared for his family with dedication.

William had a special love for Christmas, delighting in the joy of giving and spoiling his loved ones during the festive season. He was an avid supporter of the Dallas Cowboys, and his love for basketball was evident in the enjoyment he derived from the sport.

William will be fondly remembered for his honesty, perfectionism, and high moral standards. He had a unique ability to make everyone feel welcome in his home, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mahsa Kimes; children, Mandana Stateira Emma Kimes, Daniel Fatemi, Jaylon Kimes, William Kimes Jr., and Matthew Kimes; siblings Jacqueline Kimes, Lillian Brock, Michael Williams, Isaac Williams, Hammie R Johnson, Jacqueline Wright, and Vashawne Leonard; parents-in-law, Nasrin Shamszadeh and Baha Shahreva; and brother-in-law, Arash Shahreva.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Jona Kimes, Cora Henderson, and Clarence Dubose.

A visitation to celebrate William's life will be held on January 7, 2024, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Roswell Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. Following the burial please join the family for a reception and time of fellowship.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in William's honor. May he rest in peace, and may his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew and loved him.
