

William Steven “Steve” Troutman, 71, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026. Born on May 4, 1954, in Owensboro, Kentucky, Steve lived a life marked by dedication to his family, faith, and career.
Steve spent his professional life in the insurance field, where he built a career characterized by hard work and commitment. Outside of his work, in his younger years, Steve was an avid bowler and he never turned down the opportunity to enjoy a good movie. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life. A lover of the outdoors, Steve enjoyed taking walks with his loving wife and nurturing his bonsai trees with his remarkable green thumb. His passion for nature reflected his thoughtful and patient spirit.
A deeply spiritual man, Steve maintained a close relationship with the Lord throughout his life. He prayed continuously for his family and friends, offering them unwavering support through his faith.
Steve is survived by his wife, Susan; his children: Jamie Henry of Owensboro, KY; Sarah (Nathaniel) Ward of Sparta, IL; Blake (Julie) Troutman of Naperville, IL; Chelsea (Kye Pattrick) Troutman of Mount Eliza, Victoria, Australia; Jordan (Kate) Troutman of Yorkville, IL; Paige (Laz) Diaz of Owensboro, KY; and Tara (John) Dunn of Athens, GA. He also leaves behind his father Bill Troutman of Sarasota, FL; sisters Debbie Glenn of Owensboro, KY and Jodi (Larry) Groves of Chrisney, IN; brothers Scott Troutman of Walterboro, SC and Eric (Anna) Troutman of Owensboro, KY; numerous nieces and nephews; 18 grandchildren, as well as 1 great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Troutman and brothers Alan Troutman and Darek Troutman.
Steve’s legacy is one of love for family and faith in God. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May it bring comfort to all who mourn his passing. A private memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
