Zara Shepherd Karp, 65, passed away on September 20, 2012 at home with her family by her side. She is survived by her husband Jan Karp; her mother Lila Shepherd of Edgewater, Fla.; a brother and sister-in-law Ron & Faye Shepherd of Edgewater, Fl.; a sister-in-law Charlotte Shepherd of Jacksonville, Fl.; one niece Stephanie and husband Rich Gregoire of Largo, Fl.; 2 nephews Freddie and Greg Shepherd of Jacksonville, Fl.; and one cousin & her husband, Jane & Kenny Melton of Hillsville, Va. She is also survived by three step children Hilary Karp, Steve Karp and wife Lee, and Michael Karp and wife Leslie; four step grand-children, Jessica, Danny, Luke & Zoe. She was preceded in death by her son Anthony Perez; her father Alva (Shorty) Shepherd; and brother Fred Shepherd. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. The Funeral will be held at 9 a.m., Sun., Sept. 23rd at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Rd., Roswell, GA 30076 with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at Green Lawn Cemetery following. Memorial donations may be made to Christ United Methodist Church 1340 Woodstock Rd Roswell, Ga. 30075. Roswell Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
