Estela Padilla Martinez

Estela P. Martinez, age 77 of California, passed away on Thursday May 12, 2016, at her home surrounded by her two

daughters, Talpa Rosario Martinez-Garcia and Norma E. Martinez. Estela was predeceased by her husband

Jesus Martinez; they were married for 43 years. Estela was also predeceased by her son, Jesus Eduardo Martinez.

Estela is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Talpa Rosario, and Norma. She is also lovingly remembered by her

five granddaughters, Jasmina M. Martinez, Julie M. Martinez, Janel M. Martinez, Vanessa J. Garcia, and Jessalyn V. Garcia.

She also leaves behind a lot of loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.

Estela was born in Altar, Sonora Mexico and raised in Tijuana, Baja California Mexico. She studied cosmetology in Tijuana

and graduated in 1953. She gracefully loved to share many anecdotal stories of her childhood and youth with her family.

Estela enjoyed outdoor excursions, and loved going to the beach with her family. At her spare time she liked to read

mystery novels and also liked to make home made crafts. Estela practiced her faith in Catholicism and was very close to her

faith in God and to Our Lady of Guadalupe. There's a prayer in Spanish she shared with her family...

abandonarme nunca. Tu estas siempre conmigo, protegiendome y alentandome. A pesar de cualquier cosa que este dia

pueda traer, te doy gracias por tu amor y tu Fortaleza. Que descanse y confie en ti, Padre, en este dia y por siempre. Amen
