Frank Pedroza, 89, son of Francisco and Ernestina Pedroza, loving husband of Alba Pedroza, passed peacefully on December 22nd surrounded by his family after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He is survived by his wife Alba, two sons Peter and Steve, and daughter Susan. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Frank was a member of the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946, and worked as a certified welder for Hadley Auto Transport until his retirement in 1990. He was the epitome of a loyal husband, loving father and grandfather, and a man of faith who was dedicated to his church and community. He was an active member of the Catholic War Veterans, a Fourth Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus, and received acknowledgement from the city of Norwalk for his volunteer work. He was also an usher for St. John’s church every Saturday, and never missed a mass. Outside of his passion for welding and volunteering, and dedication to his church, he was also a part of the Hadley and Knights of Columbus bowling leagues. He was a die-hard Dodger fan as well, and with his love for gambling, he never refused an offer to take a trip to the casino. His happiest moments were spent with his family, barbequing and playing in the pool with his grandkids. He was a man of few words, yet the love and compassion he shared with his family and community spoke volumes about what it means to be a true man of faith, kindness, and grace. He will be sincerely missed by his family friends, and his spirit will forever touch the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
