Margaret Louise Blodgett

Margaret Louise Blodgett was born August 15, 1931, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to the late Alfred Joseph Smith and the late Theresa G Smith. She departed this life at age 84 on June 30, 2016 at San Antonio Community Hospital in Upland, CA. She was preceded in death by siblings: Alfred J. Smith and Fred Smith.

Family was her number one priority in life. She devoted her life to her children and loved them unconditionally. She never learned to drive, swim or ride a bike but she enjoyed traveling. She had the opportunity to travel with her children during various stages of their adult life to places such as, Hawaii (3 times), Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Arizona Las Vegas (NV), Canada, Bahamas and all over California. When her kids were young she traveled cross-country in a car to Boston, MA to visit family. She was a devoted Catholic and attended church when she could. If she wasn’t able to attend church, she watched mass on television and prayed daily.

She leaves to cherish her sweet memories, 3 daughters and 3 sons: Terry (Dean) Olson, David Kompa, Paul Blodgett, Cheryl (fiancé Steve) Christian, Jimmy (Danielle) Blodgett, and Joanne Rodriguez; three stepsons: Steven, Gary (deceased), and Danny. She had 11 grandchildren: Donna, Bradley, Jeffrey, Alexis, Fabian, Savannah, Richard, Paula, Brandon, Giovanni and Charlotte, 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
