My Tia Nena was loving, fiercely independent and sincere. She loved unconditionally and was an unwavering supporter of those she loved. We will forever miss her smile and laughter, but know that she continues to live in our memories and our heart. Until we meet again... Your nephew, -Robert Zavala (Bobby)

My sincerest condolences to Eliza, Charlie and your families.
Your mother as I remember, she was as tough as nails, strong will, and determined yet she had a huge heart. In her way, she helped her friends in need. When we were camping in Coachella Lake/Indio, there was a huge event and some shooting took place. My dad was coming out of the bathroom with my brother when he was taken into custody by authorities in such confusion. My mom didn't know what to do and your mother told her it would be ok and she drove my mom to the sherrif's station. They were there for hours. She took the time away from her family to help my parents. I have never forgotten that. At my parent's 25th anniversary, she and your father befriended my in-laws and they had such a great time. Your mother was a true friend and a family woman.
God bless her and may she RIP.❤

I will always remember the good times we had when we lived in La Angostura. You will be missed. But kept in my hearts. Love you my dear cousin, may you rest in peace.

eliza and family I wish I would have had the pleasure of meeting this fine woman. eliza I know by the way you carry yourself with work and friendship you had a good example to follow in your mom but also you dad. it will be hard in the beginning but know your mother is in peace and with our lord and will be there to greet you when it is your turn. but make it long time ok.
love you with all my heart, mija

Gone too soon, prima although you were more like an aunt. One of the best memories is hearing Nena and my Mom laughing so loudly whenever they were together. I will always remember with so much love the family get togethers in my Tia Carmen's small house. I am so sorry for your loss.

My auntie Nena holds a special place in my heart. She was there for me when I needed her, she cared for me when I cried. I didn't get a chance to say my last good bye, but when my time comes.... I will meet you in Heaven where my new life awaits!! For now you're gone up high in the sky because this is your time to say good bye!! Thank you auntie for loving me, I will always hold the memories deep in my heart, through these memories you will never part. I love you with all my heart. Give grandma a hug and kiss for me and tell my mom I miss and love her!!!!!!
