Alejandro Dayao Tecson

Alejandro Dayao Tecson, a loving husband, father, and faithful servant of God, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of January 23, 2026, after a gradual decline in health. He is now resting in the eternal embrace of our Lord, surrounded by the love and support of his family during his final days.

Alejandro was born on May 3, 1934, in Cabiao, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, and had been a resident of California since 1997. In 1974, he met and fell in love with Elvira (Nenet) Lapuz, and they were married at San Juan Nepomuceno Church in Cabiao, Philippines. Together, Alejandro and Nenet were blessed with three children: daughters Ivy Tecson Silvestre and Irish Obot, and son Leonardo L. Tecson.

Alejandro had a joyful spirit and loved spending time outdoors. He especially enjoyed fishing, shooting guns, walking, running, and lifting light barbells, hobbies that brought him peace and happiness. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, reunited with our Heavenly Father.

He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His legacy of faith, love, and perseverance will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.

Alejandro is survived by his wife, Elvira (Nenet) Lapuz Tecson; his three children and their spouses: Ivy and Sonny Silvestre, Irish and Uwem Obot, and Leonardo and Emma Tecson; and seven grandchildren: Rylan, Rendel, Royvin, and Izelle Silvestre, Cassidy Obot, and Angel Lea and Isabella Tecson. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, for viewing at Harry and Nauman & Son, 4041 Freeport Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95822. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Saint Joseph Parish 9961 Elk Grove Florin Rd. Elk Grove, CA 95624.
