Angelina was born to Concetta Reale and Antonio Valentino in Pleasantville, New York. At 12 years of age, her family moved to Sacramento. She graduated from Sacramento High School in 1952. She married Donald Atchinson and had 3 children. She had a love for music and always admired Elizabeth Taylor.
She leaves behind to cherish a sister, Sadie Pennisi; a niece, Mary June Pennisi; 3 children, Marla Atchinson and twin sons Darrell and Donny Atchinson; grandchildren Erika Colvin, Marlena Colvin, Rachelle Colvin, Sabrina Riddle, Jamie Riddle, Danielle Atchinson and Mason Atchinson; great grandchildren Aisia Griffin, Jacoby Pope, Brielle Dawson, Aaliyah Monroe, Giovanni Dockery, Asar Dyse, Aria Dyse, Vincent Melgoza and Miguel Melgoza. She also leaves behind a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandson Beau Atchinson.
