Atsuko Dickson

Atsuko Dickson was born on March 26, 1931 to Utaro and Kimi Suzuki in Yokosuka, Japan. She married SMSGT Leslie Mertinello Dickson Jr. (who preceded her in death) on July 16, 1954 in the city of Tokyo, Japan. They were married for 45 years. She was a devoted and caring mother raising three children, Ramona, Wayne and Joan “Mareka”. She was devoted to her grandchildren, including one who preceded her in death, Mario Cole. Family was the most cherished for her. She enjoyed cooking Japanese food, knitting, listening to Japanese music, watching Japanese shows and spending time with friends. She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter Ramona Dickson, son Wayne Dickson (Jesusita), and daughter Joan “Mareka” Cole (Mark); grandchildren Justin McCall, Rachel McCall, Private Jonathan McCall, Brandon Tyler Dickson, Specialist James Cole (Michele), Jason Bufford, Mark Cole II, Marek Cole; great-grandchildren Anaiyah and Jason Bufford; brother-in-law Julius Dickson, sister-in-law Rose Dickson, nieces Monica Dickson-Barnett, Cheryl Dickson, Leslie Timmons, and nephew Patrick Pickens; great-nieces Breanna Timmons, Sacha Capers; great-nephews Brandon Dickson, Malik Barnett, Bryson Barnett, Aunt Naomi Irish and a host of other relatives and friends. A graveside service to be held on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 11:00am at Camellia Memorial Lawn, 10221 Jackson Road in Sacramento.
