Barbara Ann Laurenzi

Barbara Ann Laurenzi, a native of Sacramento, passed away with her loving and devoted family by her side on April 1, 2014 at the age of 80. Born to Allen and Julia Birt, and had 2 sisters and 4 brothers in her family. She was a VFW Ladies Auxiliary member since 1967 and a farmer; she loved Bunco, Bingo and making crafts. But her favorite was the trips to the “mall” (Red Hawk) that she shared with her daughter. She is predeceased by her parents, her first husband, Philip Grosswiler in 1964; and her 2nd husband in 2008, Ugo M. Laurenzi; 2 sons David and Allen; 3 brothers. Barbara is survived by her children: Philip (Marilyn), Dennis (Julie), Judy (Danny) and Michael (Stephanie); 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren; 1 brother and her 2 sisters. She will be deeply missed by al that knew her, including her two special friends Irene and Hai.

A visitation will be held for her on Thurs, April 3 from 4-7pm with a Rosary to follow at 7pm at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral home, 5401 Folsom Blvd in Sacramento; with a funeral service to follow on Fri, April 4 at 11am also at Nicoletti’s. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Barbara’s memory to Sutter Hospice Agency.
