

Carmen Urbina Velazquez passed away peacefully December 2, 2020 in Roseville surrounded by her loving family. Born 86 years ago to Aurelio Urbina & Adela Diaz in Mexico City, Mexico, CArmen immigrated to the United States in the early sixties with her husband, Ramon & young daughter, Lucy. Carmen supported her family each day of her life, welcoming the addition of son Robert and daughter Patty. Carmen was employed at Contadina in Woodland for several decades, until her retirement. A devout Catholic, Carmen was a member of the Guadalupe Society and the liturgical committee at St. Rose Church and later joined the St Lawrence Parish in 1990, followed by St. Joseph Parish in 2006. Carmen will be fondly remembered for her strong sense of faith, her compassion toward others & the driving spirit that allowed her to succeed in life. She is preceded in death by her parents and her 5 siblings. She loved her family more that anything and will be deeply missed by her adoring daughters and sons in law, Lucy & John Schindehette of Roseville, Patty & David Yackovich of Roseville, loving son & daughter in law, Robert & Lynn Velazquez of Antioch, 7 grandchildren, Christy, Monique, Veronica, William, Dominick, Jazmin, Marisa & 6 great-grandchildren, Jaedon, Rick, Kenny, Penelope, Emma & Daisie. Carmen is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren & relatives in Mexico. Friends are welcome for visitations from from 10am to 4pm, Friday 12/11 at Lombard and Company Funeral Home, 1550 Fulton Ave., Sacramento. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 12pm Saturday, 12/12 at Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Antioch, CA. Private inurnment. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
