Born in Dayton, Ohio, July 19, 1924, passed away in Rancho Murieta, California, July 22, 2012, at the age of 88 years. Clara graduated from Roosevelt H.S. in Dayton, Ohio. She worked at Wright Field in Dayton from 1942 to 1943, where she met her dashing husband-to-be, Jay Massman. After a two year separation when he went overseas in W.W.II, they started their family of seven children. Mom was a homemaker who left us with beautiful memories of a wonderful life. She and dad moved to Rancho Murieta in the late 70's, where they enjoyed a fun-filled time golfing, card-playing, and socializing with many beloved friends. She was a gracious, loving, accepting, and thankful person until the end. We will miss her until eternity. We want to thank all the special doctors and nurses at UC Davis Hospital who cared for our dearly loved mother. She is survived by her children, Jay Massman (Barbara), Patty St. Pierre (Dick), Mary Geach (Bob), Michael Massman (Kathy), Richard Massman (Debbie), Thomas Massman (Michael), 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Jay Massman, son Peter Massman, brother Edward Seidenschmidt, sister Teresa Zink, and brother John Seidenschmidt. Friends are invited to attend a Rosary at 11:00 A.M., followed by a Memorial Mass Friday, August 3, 2012, at 11:30 A.M. at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, 14673 Cantova Way, Rancho Murieta, CA.
