

Was born in Lucca, Italy, on September 28, 1919. His full and vibrant life ended peacefully on September 15, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Katherine; son David Stefani, and daughters Carole Chivaro and Andrea Stefani; grandchildren Alicia, Michael and Shannon Stefani; Brian and Stephanie Chivaro; Anthony, Carlo, and Angela Pane, and Sarah and Matthew Willis; great-grandchildren Gianna and Daniel Pane, all of Sacramento, CA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Domenick Stefani had a keen curiosity, quick wit, love of people, and avid interests in gardening, sports, politics, travel, and enjoying Katherine's unparalleled cooking.
He served as an Army Private First Class Airplane Electrician at McClellan Field/Sacramento during World War Two, and thereafter maintained a thirty-five-year career at McClellan as an aircraft mechanic and foreman. He was a long-time and devoted parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church in East Sacramento, and will be deeply missed by all he touched and loved.
Donations can be made to Mercy Hospice-Sacramento and/or the American Cancer Society in honor of Domenick Stefani. Friends are welcome for visitation Friday, September 21, 2012, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., and are invited to attend a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd.
