Dorothy Friedman passed away on January 10th at home at the age of 98. She was born in Chicago in 1924 and lived in Sacramento for over 25 years. Dorothy was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend who always had a warm smile for everyone. She was also an inspired teacher for 35 years who cared deeply for her students. She will be greatly missed. Dorothy is survived by her three daughters, Ann (Cecil) Tickamyer, Miriam (Alessandro Caratelli) Friedman, and Judith Friedman, and her two grandsons, David (Xiao Luo) Caratelli and Daniele (Nicole Gorton) Caratelli. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Irving B. Friedman and son-in-law Scott Rice.
