Eftihia “Effie” Pantelias, passed away on Christmas, a reflection of her deep love for Jesus. She loved life. She had a terrific, independent spirit and sense of humor. Effie cared for people through nursing and as a boutique owner in Athens, Greece. Her talents were many, from being President of the Athenian Club Sacramento Chapter to gardening, knitting, cooking and entertaining. She was very loyal to her friends. Effie is preceded in death by her husband, Hristos Pantelias, her sisters Helen Capstraw, Christina Papageourgiou and Stavroula Kouniakis. She is survived by relatives in Greece, Christina Capstraw Pappas, Dr. Conrad Pappas, grandnieces Elaine Pappas and Melina Pappas and several Godchildren. She loved animals and is also survived by her cat, Morris.
